If you wish to access, correct, or delete any personal information, please submit a written data request as outlined in our Contact Information section. We will take steps to verify your identity before processing your request. For instance, we might ask you to provide a piece of information we have on file that you should know. We cannot disclose personal information in response to a data request to anyone other than the individual concerned. Once any issues regarding the information requested are resolved, we will send you copies of the information electronically whenever possible, or by mail if necessary. If you submit multiple data requests that are excessive or unfounded, we may charge a fee of $20.00 to cover the administrative costs involved. In extreme cases, we reserve the right to refuse to fulfill such requests. We aim to respond to valid and verified data requests within the timeframe required by Michigan law. If you are dissatisfied with how your data request was managed, you can escalate your concerns to the appropriate data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
Your Right to Cancel or Modify Marketing Communications
You have the right to unsubscribe from or modify the email marketing communications you receive from us. You can do this by following the instructions in our promotional emails or by adjusting your communication preferences in your User Account. However, note that this won’t affect other subscriptions—if you opt out of certain emails, those preferences will be limited. While you can manage some email preferences, certain administrative, transactional, or legal messages from Blunt Freak LLC may still be sent to you if you have a User Account. However, you can request to close your User Account to stop receiving these announcements. You can also adjust your personalized advertising settings on third-party websites through the Privacy Settings page. When we show advertisements on other sites, we may use your information to present more relevant ads based on your activity on our platform. If you opt out of personalized advertising, you may still see our ads elsewhere, but they may not be as relevant to you.
This Michigan Privacy Notice (“MI Privacy Notice”) supplements the information in our Privacy Policy and applies specifically to visitors, purchasers, users, and others who reside in the State of Michigan (“Michigan Residents” or “you”) and who use our Services, as described in the Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between this MI Privacy Notice and the Privacy Policy, the MI Privacy Notice will prevail only to the extent necessary to resolve such conflict.
Information We Collect About Our Michigan Residents
The personal information covered under this MI Privacy Notice does not include aggregated data or other information that cannot reasonably be linked to you. In the past twelve months, regardless of whether you have a User Account or were logged in to any such account, we may have collected the following categories of personal information as outlined by Michigan privacy laws.
Your Rights as a Michigan Resident
As a Michigan Resident, you have certain rights regarding your personal information. You have the right to request the following information from us: (1) the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you; (2) the categories of personal information we have collected; (3) the categories of sources from which your personal information was collected; (4) the categories of personal information we have sold or disclosed for a business purpose; (5) the categories of third parties to whom your personal information was sold or disclosed for a business purpose; and (6) the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling your personal information. You also have the right to correct your personal information or request the deletion of any personal information we have collected and retained from you, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable request, we will delete (and instruct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies. If we use information defined as sensitive personal information, we limit our use to what is necessary for providing our Websites and Services.
How to Exercise Your Rights Under Michigan Law
To exercise any of the rights described above, please submit a verifiable request by contacting us as outlined in our Contact Information section below. We must verify the identity of the requestor. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing proof of a valid power of attorney, your valid government-issued identification, and the authorized agent’s valid government-issued identification. Upon receiving your request, we will follow up with an email asking you to provide and certify information necessary to verify your identity. We cannot respond to requests where the identity and authority of the requestor cannot be confirmed. You are not required to have a User Account with us to submit a request, and we will only use personal information provided in a request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority. Please note that you may make a verifiable request for access or data portability twice within a 12-month period. Any disclosures we provide will cover only the 12-month period preceding the receipt of the verifiable request. If we are unable to comply with a request, we will inform you of the reason why.
Personal Information Sold or Shared
We do not “sell” personal information in the traditional sense, and we will not do so without giving you the opportunity to opt out. However, Michigan law broadly defines “sale” to include sharing personal information for the purpose of targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. Like many online publishers, we use such information to provide our Websites and Services, offer personalized features, perform tracking and analytics, and display relevant offers to you. To opt out of targeted advertising, you can visit the Privacy Settings page and deselect “Personalized advertising.”
Non-Discrimination Policy
Michigan Residents who choose to exercise the rights described in this section will not be denied goods or services, charged different prices or rates, or provided a different level or quality of goods or services, unless those differences relate to your personal information.
Michigan Disclosure
Michigan law allows you to request a list of third parties to whom we have disclosed your personal information for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the types of personal information disclosed. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without your prior consent. You can also prevent the disclosure of your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes by withholding consent.
